Thank you Leanne,

As stated we are trying for a winter garden as Hasting-Surise donated some wonderful seeds for our project. Have a friend and community urban planner who may be able to get us a truck but am having trouble locating your farmer's number via this site again. Please re-forward, wonder if its the same supplier Jana used. Their families' garden is inspirational! I am awaiting info from her as well.re mushroom manure suppliers.

Cheers,

 K & N

Good morning Leanne,

We are interested in getting some Mushroom manure for our winter garden for our non-profit housing near VGH. Our community garden is roughly 10 by 10 feet. Called your gentleman farmer however it is out of our price range. Any left over that you'd be willing to share?

Best regards,

Hi Leanne,

I'm just back from vacation - did you see the workshop postings on the events (home)? There's a workshop on Sept 13th in your neighbourhood (HS). If you'd like to register, please let me know. (There are also workshops in Main St/Riley Park on the 20th, and Kits on Oct 6th.)

Cheers,
Ross

Hi Leanne,

We should know new workshop dates in a day or two. The best place to look is on the events page. We'll also send you a notice.

There are number of chicken folk in your neighbourhood. Just running out the door now, but will let them know that you're interested in connecting. I'll also suggest starting a coop co-op group in Hastings Sunrise.

Cheers,
Ross

Hello!

Since you have indicated Hastings-Sunrise as your neighbourhood location, I thought I would let you know that we are in the embryonic stages of creating a Hastings-Sunrise village and have set up a Village Group here at Village Vancouver to facilitate that process.

I am aware that there are lots of neighbourhood groups and activities already in place in Hastings Sunrise and hope that in some way a Hastings-Sunrise Village can help to provide some networking between groups rather than competing as another entity, but also can carry out activities that might be of interest to the other groups as well. Really, it's wide open as to what we do as a village entity... but we need participation to determine what that will be!

Please go over to the Villages tab above and you will find Hastings Sunrise Village and can join up and participate in the discussion - and also feel free to post Hastings-Sunrise activities and events there for others to see.
