Hey Alison,

This is nice and close to the Edmonds Skytrain station, and easy walk.  We will be in the downstairs room it sounds like, and there will be lots of room for the whole crowd (lets hope we get lots of folks).

I have been waiting to speak with a city planner about community gardens, and some other groups seem interested in what we are doing which is great, I am looking forward to getting some ideas off the ground soon.

If you can please RSVP to the event on village so I can get an idea of who will be there, find the event on the events page!

Thanks and hope to see you on Wednesday, 6:30pm at the Edmonds Community Centre!

Hey Alison,

We are attempting to start a Village group in Burnaby, and are looking for all Burnaby folks to join us in our initial meet & greet.

We have set the meeting for Wednesday December 14th from 7pm - 9pm at the Bonsor Recreation Centre (6550 Bonsor Avenue) in Multipurpose Room 2.

The event will be a potluck, and if you can bring a small bite to share with the group it would be amazing.

I sincerely hope you can attend, and if not, please keep an eye on the Burnaby page as we will try to meet monthly from here on in.

Look forward to speaking with you soon!

Transportation

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

Housing

A human right? After food, many feel shelter is our second most important need. Community lies in there somewhere. This category is for all things relating to home, shelter, housing, affordable housing, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.
