Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
SPEC and KNH presents: The Westside Pocket Market
With the love for food and community, the Society Promoting Environmental Conservation (SPEC) and Kits Neighborhood House (KNH) is organizing ten Pocket Markets in Kits, to nurture the growing local food movement and boost the local economy.
Pocket Markets play an important role in supporting the production and distribution of local food. The markets help bridge the gap for both farmers and local food lovers by providing an alternative market format that adds to the current make-up of the farmer’s market world.
Become a vendor -- sell your local products!
SPEC & KNH are currently looking for urban growers, farmers and vendors to join our markets! We are in particularly looking for vendors who can sell fresh eggs, local fresh produce and baked treats/bread. If you, or anyone you know, would benefit and be interested in this market, please email Sara Blenkhorn, Pocket Market Coordinator, at .
Please include information about what you want to sell, how much and for how many markets you can commit. (The market runs from July 7th to Sep 8th). If you are looking to sell eggs or baked treats, special Food-Safe rules apply. (It sounds more complicated than it is, and Sara can provide you with more information).
Looking forward to seeing you at the market!
