Hi Shelby, Its great to see you here too! I got involved in some transition activities back in Waterloo when I was there for school but had no idea my own neighbourhood had one going.

A meet up would be great. Is there a day next week that works well for you??

Hey Shelby.  Got your comment on the Vancouver Tool Library post.  We'd love to get something into the newsletter.  Please send me an email at:  [email protected] and let me know how long you'd like it to be and when it's done.

Hi Shelby
I've got our site up and running. If you look on the group page, second tab, you'll see us. I've also done a search of members in Dunbar and sent a note to all inviting them to participate. Rand said he would add us to the Village page as soon as he has a chance. I'd like to add you as a second convenor, but will have to see how to do that. I also think we might want to meet specifically to talk about our next steps. Julia is a dynamic person and perhaps we should ask her to meet with us, as sort of an initial core group.
Cheers.

Hi Shelby
How does your week look. Do you have time for a coffee? I'm available most mornings through to about 3pm.

Hi Shelby
I'd like to get moving on organizing a Dunbar village. Would you like to meet for coffee and discuss possible actions? I'll be away for the Easter week, leaving tomorrow, but back on Friday. Perhaps we could meet the week of April 12?

Hello,
Please join the Kitsilano Village group under "Villages" at the top menu - I'm eager to get a dozen or so of us there and then see if we might plan some events to connect face-to-face.

Hey Shelby. I just got my copy of the In Transition DVD set. I was thinking of doing a small showing at home, for the Dunbar area, as a test for starting up a Dunbar Village. Kind of backdoor way of moving in that direction. Do you want to coordinate with me?

Take the Community Survey on Urban Farming in Vancouver

Posted on September 13, 2013 at 2:49pm 0 Comments

Hello all,

I've been involved in a year-long community research project on urban farming in Vancouver, and as part of it, the Vancouver Urban Farming Society has brought together a team of stellar community surveyors from across the City of Vancouver to collect valuable survey data from people in their neighbourhood on their perceptions and experiences of urban farming.

In addition to the work of our team of community surveyors – we are also circulating the survey online to try…
