There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)

- can help with seed activities, wild plant ID, heron talks, food prep, writing, design,etc.
- wrote "The Herons of Stanley Park" & "A Hundred Days- a botanical novel (about 100 local plants)"; (next book out November 2015); helped found Slow Food Vancouver (4 years newsletter editor); former board member and campaign creator for GE Free BC and the Canadian BioTechnology Action Network; created Car Stops for Mayne Island free transportation;working artist with studios on Main St. and on Mayne Island; active member of Southern Gulf Islands Arts Council, Mayne Island Conservancy, Vancouver Haiku Group and Vancouver Origami Group; ETC.

What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?

Not sure immediately, but will consider what you're already doing and how I can get involved. Living half time on Mayne Island means I'm familiar with a more sustainable lifestyle and gardening ; inspired to do more here!

Ross gave a great introduction to the Seed Library and Village Vancouver at the Mt. Pleasant Library today and I'd liek to be involved.
