Profile Information

In which Vancouver neighbourhood or other community do you live?
Dunbar, Kitsilano
Please tell us which areas of Transition interest you. For example: growing more food/urban agriculture, relocalizing our economy/local currency, Permaculture, transit, energy efficient buildings, the arts, urban homesteading, preserving seed diversity, placemaking, potlucks, outreach, organizing events, community-building, having fun while saving the world, or...
urban gardening, community building, local politics, improving transit strategies, canning, skill sharing workshops, potlucks!
What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
Increased incentives and information provided to Vancouver residents to transition to a more sustainable lifestyle i.e. rebates for growing local food, cycling, etc. Also increased amounts of community events that are organized BY communities with less bureaucratic red tape.

Hi, Jessica - I think it was you who wanted some worms, yes? I have worms and can get some out for you. (now the snow's gone!) drop me a note to [email protected] or call 604-732-1455 to let me know when you'd like to come by and I'll put a pail out on the bench out front,  Any chance you'll be at the potluck this Sunday? I could bring them!

Hi Jessica,

Kits Village is having a Visioning session and potluck this Sunday. It looks like you're interested in a lot of the things Kits Villagers are interested in - gardening, community building, skill sharing, etc., so hope you'll join us in shaping our vision!

Cheers,

Ross

Hi Jessica

Welcome to VV and to our Dunbar Transition Village. We've got a lot going on. Next week is our movie night on Thursday (regular 2nd Thurs of each month), held at St. Philips Church, Highbury and 27th, at 7 pm.

We'll be having a potluck the last week of January at one of our members houses'. Still working out the details of date, but once we settle it'll be posted.

Look forward to meeting you soon.

Cheers.

Ann
