The Main Street Neighbourhood village is holding our monthly potluck dinner and presentation tonight (Tuesday, 7 June) at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House on Main Street at 24th Ave (adjacent to the library). Dinner and a free seed and food plant seedling giveaway start at 6:00 and then an urban gardening presentation and discussion begins at 7 for about an hour. Come and stay as long as you want, or just drop by at any time.

As you can see, we are just beginning to build an on-line community for Village Vancouver, and organize our extensive activities more openly and collaboratively through this site. Please feel free to enter a discussion, attend an event, join a working group, or even start a Village.

Sunset has just one other member on board, Helen, and we hope we can expand to one of the most gardening-friendly neighbourhoods in Vancouver. Your closest operating "Village" is the Main Street Neighbourhood, and Helen has joined it since she cycles through our community every day.

Feel free to join Main Street to be invited to our monthly potlucks, seed sharing, soil sharing, solar projects, etc. If Sunset starts a Village, you can always part company and take with you what you learned on Main Street.
