Over 30 people attended the October workshops. Two collectives have started in Transition Cedar Cottage and Transition Strathcona, with workshop participant Robin Sturley providing facilitation help.
More collectives will be starting soon- likely neighborhoods/villages include grandview woodland, Hastings-Sunrise, Kits, and Main Street.

Don't miss this rare Vancouver opportunity to learn about Seed Saving from four top BC seedswomen.
Facilitated by Maria Hunter, Dragonfly Seeds; Mojave Kaplan, Planting Seeds Project; Robin Wheeler, Edible Landscapes and Susan Davidson, BC Seeds www.bcseeds.org.
We will be discussing seed saving basics, the politics of seeds, how to build seed collectives and learn to select for good traits. We'll learn about isolation distances, small business creation, hear stories and work together to create the base for a local seed chapter.
Suggested donation: $30. Subsidies available; no one turned away for lack of funds. Limited to 25 participants.
