Amy,

It's worth checking out if you're doing urban farming or urban homesteading, or just want to support those who are.

As I briefly discussed with Tara, I'll be developing a poster/flyer to help promote our group. So as to not require constant updating and because our next meeting is so soon, I won't include the meeting date. Hopefully I can get this done in a few days from now...

@Ross: The Urban Farmers Network sounds intriguing! I don't believe I've heard of it before.a\qw2

You can contact Chris Thoreau (https://villagevancouver.ca/profile/christhoreau) to join the Urban Farmers Listserve. He's a member of the Seed Savers network and has been involved with BC Seeds in the past.

There are currently about 20 (identified) urban farms in Vancouver. The 1st meeting was in November; about 50-60 people attended. I also attended the 1st 1/2 of a 4 hour Urban Farmers Network visioning gathering yesterday; things are starting to come together.

Robin -- are you hooked up with the urban farmers network?  If not I could help there.

I have sent the final blurb about our collective to Cedar Cottage garden, MOBY garden, Crows Point garden. Will see if there are other local gardens in our hood.  The boundaries are:  41st, Fraser, Broadway, Nanaimo.
