Village Vancouver

Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

Updated Feb 21, 2013:

Attached is a 28 pg. sample from the book Small_House_Book_sample.pdf

Attached are about 15 or so house plans
TumbleweedHouses.pdf

I recently came across the website for Tumbleweed Tiny House Company www.tumbleweedhouses.com and bought their book about building your own house for under $40,000 and subsequently living a minimalist lifestyle in a dwelling of 100-400 square feet.

Many of these homes are portable and depending on the local by-laws can be "parked" in a backyard space without incurring any additional taxes or utility payments.

I wonder what regulations are in place in Vancouver for tiny houses?

I'm going to find out....

Check out this cute 111 square foot portable home called "Walden"
