New to or interested in urban backyard beekeeping?

Hello Villagers,

I am brand new to backyard beekeeping (so new my bees haven't even arrived yet) and thought I would keep a record of my experiences to share with others. I have no prior experience and don't know anyone with experience to help me...so I'm winging it. My hopes in starting the page are to help spread interest in bees, help others learn from my mistakes and successes, encourage others who may be interested in urban beekeeping but may be reluctant to jump in due to lack of experience....and of course to satisfy the curiosity of others who are intrigued by my wacky new hobby.

If anyone does decide to check out my posts, please keep my inexperience in mind...I am a work in progress with everything to learn. I attended some workshops and did lots of self-directed research, but I am by no means trying to teach anyone anything...I just want to inspire and encourage others to give it a try who might not otherwise due to lack of experience...if I can start from zero, so can you.
