Village Vancouver

Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

Since signing up here, I've attended one of the gardening workshops hosted by V.V. It was most helpful in getting me to get that rake and shovel out, and dig in. I've since dug up a small part of the grass for an experimental area.I want to plant some herbs and shade plants there, and possibly a few things that bloom. It is in the shade, and so far I haven't had a lot of growth. I planted a honeysuckle vine next to the cage, in hope it grows over it. I've also planted a black currant and a raspberry bush in the sunniest area of the 'garden' wishing for some edible goodness. It has been cool and damp lately- the plants seem to be dormant. I'm excited to see what happens with warmer weather.

Mary, thank you for the kind offer. I've just seen it...:)

My garden is still patiently waiting to be created. I have been finishing up my degree and traveling a bit- not so great for gardening.

Going away again, on a two month trip in a few weeks, but would love to take you up on your offer sometime in the future.

:)
