Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
With some of our Neighborhood Small Grants funding (thank you Vancouver Foundation), our seed saving collective has purchased three books:
(1) "Breed your own Vegetable Varieties" by Carol Depp
(2) "Seed to Seed" by Susan Ashworth, both of which are available to borrow.
(3) "Garden Seed Inventory", published in 2005 by the Seed Savers Exchange, is a thick reference book itemizing seed still available in 2005. The collective can now compare seed previously available in 2005 with current varieties to check if certain seed is no longer offered commercially (and becoming rarer), which may affect what action our collective takes in terms of some seed.
Please email if you are interested in borrowing one of these books or have a question which can be referenced from the "Garden Seed Inventory".
And, if you have "true" seed that you wish to donate to our seed bank, or want to join the "Growers Group" we could use your help.
Thanks. Cylia
