- I am trying to decide whether to buy a condo or find a co-op to move into. I recently retired from years of teaching in Abbotsford. My daughter and I lived in a co-op for 4 years in Abbotsford when she was young and we both loved it. We moved because we wanted a pet and I wanted to build equity.
I was on the Membership Committee and then on the Board.
I miss the sense of community that we had there. Living in a rental now and the prospect of buying a condo and being isolated just doesn't excite me.
I want to be involved in a community, to contribute and to reap the benefits. I want children and animals around and a chance to dig in the dirt and build life long connections with my neighbours.
I recently talked to someone outside Trafalgar co-op as I was admiring the building.
Can anyone out there give me some pointers on how to get into a great Vancouver co-op?
