This past weekend I participated in a four-hour meeting of Occupy Wall Street activists whose job it is to come up with the vision and goals of the movement. It was attended by 40+ people and the discussion was both inspiring and invigorating. Hi Kathryn, Thanks for the message. Well I can't take much credit for this event - the BC Food Systems Network has been organizing an annual Gathering for 14 years now. I did volunteer to help with the organizing though and it's been great to be involved so far. It's too bad you can't attend. I could meet for coffee sometime nonetheless as clearly we are both very motivated on this issue.

My name is Matthew, and I am a member of the newly formed Village Burnaby. I hear through the grapevine that you have taken the leap and started a Village in North Vancouver. I am really excited to hear this, and I hope all is going well with the group.
