Hi All,I've arranged with Rehoboth Farm in Chilliwack to bring chickens in to the Homesteader's Emporium tomorrow (649 East Hastings). These are laying hens who have been laying for 1 year, and the farmers are refreshing their flock since they're in the egg business and need to keep production at a maximum. They still lay at about 80% and are only $7 (I'm not taking a cut!).This is a bit last-minute, but if you want to get in on this offer, read on...I need to give them a final number to bring…See More

Duncan Martin replied to Jana Ronne's discussion Deworming urban chickens in the group Chicken Coop Co-ops

Duncan,
As I may have mentioned, I have a line on some beautiful purebred Rhode Island Red bantams that I sourced from a U.S. breeder. I will therefore have to find homes for some of the bantams or for the two full size black hens that I now have. You should drop by sometime.
