If you would like to look at some ideas relating to food and the West End, have a quick look at this page.
“Building a Neighbourhood Food Network in Vancouver’s West End”

From WE Neighnourhood Food Network's perspective, some things we would love to see in the West End are
•Edible landscaping projects around buildings
•New community/collaborative Gardens
•Fruit tree and/or Berry orchard projects on Blvds.
•Permaculture projects
•Rooftop garden pilot projects
•Pilot projects in which an apartment building owner lets renters have gardening plots around the building
•Hosting of lecture, seminar, film showing, or performance on the topic of food
•Programming tie in with the 2nd West End Food Fest
•Develop a plan for networking food gardeners
•Community Shared Meals/Drop-in Spaghetti Nights
•Seed Library
•Plastic Recycling Depot
•Emergency Preparedness projects
•More food workshops!
•Other projects and activities promoting food access and justice and food resilience
If you would like some input on your idea, please send me an e-mail at [email protected].
