Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Hello All and Happy New Year,
I hope you're getting at least a few eggs per week these days, but spring is just around the corner if not.
I'm contacting you all to see if I can amass a list of really helpful and reliable chicken resources for us and for future workshops.
Forums like BackyardChickens.com, which always come to the top of the Google results, can be very helpful, but they can also be full of misleading information, based on someone's one-time experience.
So while I want to include everything, I am especially interested in the university site you stumbled upon on that has the best diagnosis/treatment information, the best DIY plans for feeders, coops, and waterers, a sensible grazing & crop rotations, or even the best slaughtering video.
There is so much info out there, and if we can come up with a list of our favourite resources, we'll be much more equipped to manage our flocks and help others learn the ropes.
Thanks for any input you have,
Duncan

Hey Duncan, keep me in the loop with any resources, links or books you come up with.
I have been trying to amass a helpful list of resources to support our new chicken community on the North Shore. I'd love to add to it.

I'm still going to do this, just haven't had a chance recently to gather everything I have. But I should probably do it sometime before the next workshop.
