Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

Oh dear. You could try calling the farm you got him from-doesn't hurt to ask, but they'd risk their whole operation if they took him back. If you live in the city of Vancouver you aren't allowed to have a rooster according to the bylaws. If it was me I would try the SPCA who will likely be sympathetic as they are aware of the bylaw and how hard it is to determine chick genders, and see if they could find him a home or maybe try a posting on craigslist for free pet rooster. Important to continue being upfront about his health history to protect yourself from potential liability. It's tough not to get attached to them isn't it? Good luck!
