Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
I have an Americauna pullet that needs a new home. She was badly beaten up by a much larger bully cockerel (her brother). I simply wasn't paying enough attention to what was going on in my chicken pen, and she paid the price for my carelessness with a nasty head wound. :( It has now largely healed, but she will have a scar and may not grow feathers back in that area. Otherwise, normal chicken; eating, drinking, preening normally, no signs of illness. I'd like her to go to a backyard coop, preferably someone just starting out with new pullets so she wouldn't be encroaching on anyone's territory. She was a bright, curious little girl before this trauma, now she's a bit of a scaredy cat. A backyard home would be ideal! I carry her around regularly, mostly while apologizing and giving her tidbits. I'd keep her myself, but can't integrate her with my adult flock, they'd rip her to shreds. Located Maple Ridge! Message or email me at [email protected] if you're interested.
PS. Stuck ad here as well as in free stuff, hope no one minds.
