Anyone know of an avian vet in town? If there are more than one, the one closest to 4th & Commercial Drive.

I also need a vet for my elderly cat.

Alyssa;
There is a good vet on Kingsway between Knight and Clark, Vancouver Vets. Very good with cats and pretty reasonable for a vet, nice people working there.

They don't do chickens though I asked. There is a discussion somewhere in this site about a bird place on the westside of Vancouver.

Thanks. You live really close to me don't you? 2nd & Commercial maybe? We should visit each others' chickens some time. :-)
Penny,
Juno (the kitty) is going to Vancouver vet on Monday. Thanks for that.

Still looking to add an avian vet to my phone book just in case.

Alyssa
I hope all is well and that Juno will be fine.
Night Owl is an avian vet
Julia,
Thank you - by their name and what you said (expensive) I understand them to be somewhat (or entirely) an 'emergency' vet. (For the record I have two day vets and one emergency, just for the birds, in Denver). So nothing lost there - just not what I want to pay on a day-to-day basis.

Juno seems fine. The behavior is just off. She is 16 and we just got her here from the states. She's a well-traveled cat but I think the change in the bedroom was just too much this time.

We'll see on Monday. For some reason I thought Vancouver Vet did acupuncture but seems not according to their website. Also seeking acupuncture (for the first time ever!) for Juno (the cat).
We've used Night Owl on Broadway just West of Burrard a couple of times. Expensive but very knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond the call of duty and regular office hours to help.
