Village Vancouver

Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

Hi VS members,
Last meeting at the library (Thursday June 20) we informally agreed on having a follow up meeting to discuss conflict within the group.

This meeting would be held on Thursday, July 4 at 6:30 pm and many suggested that the library would be a good location, at least until the group decides on a better venue, convenient to most members; many have expressed that the library feels safe, is convenient and offers protection in case the weather is not good. I have tentatively booked the room (same as last time) but have to call again and confirm on Wednesday (June 26)

Please confirm with the survey at our WordPress website if you are OK with this venue (library) and RSVP by Wednesday. We only have 16 seats available and some have already confirmed. Results will be updated daily at the WP site: http://villagesurrey.wordpress.com/2013/06/25/next-general-meeting-...

We suggest to all to become familiar with the Transition Primer: http://www.transitionnetwork.org/resources/transition-primer and the criteria and process to become an official transition group:

There is also an excellent book for those who want to explore healthy personal, group and community relationships further (using Permaculture principles) that is called “People & Permaculture by Looby Macnamara. Unfortunatelly, it is not yet at Surrey public libraries, but it is available (five copies) from Vancouver Public Library.
