I'm looking to buy 3-5 pullets within the next 7-10 days. Ideally I would like a mixed variety of hens only. Any recommendations?

Hi Cindi, a great resource for pullets is Marga Wilson, who runs Artesian Acres. Its an educational program where she brings a brooder and hatching eggs to the classroom. She has a steady supply of green and brown egg layers of a variety of breeds.

Yes, Caroline still brings in feed - lucky for us!
Hi there,
On a similar theme, a friend has 2 chicks recently hatched now at their school in North Van..not sure if these would interest you Cindi (they need to be sexed?)
If not, putting it out there if anyone has any interest or advice ...
Thank you for the advice!
Hi Cindi,
A couple of thoughts on this. Do NOT use the services of a guy called Jesse in Abbotsford......he is bad news and just trying to make a buck.
I have 8 chickens right now which I feel is 2 too many. So.......there is a possibility of you having 2 of my lovely speckled sussex gals......they will be 2 years old next month and are laying regulary and should keep laying for another 4 years or so although their production will, no doubt, decline as time goes by.
Let me know if you are interested. Charles
Where are you, Charles?
Hi Cindi,
Email me at [email protected] if you'd like to come and see my birds. I have 2 Speckled Sussex available
