Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
WHEN
Strathcona Harvest Festival McLean Park, Keefer & Hawkes is on Sunday, September19th, noon-4pm (and beyond), setup 9-11:30 am; breakdown 4pm, but possibly later
Mount Pleasant Autumn Shift Festival is on Main St between Broadway and 12th Ave, (Street closed.) on Saturday September 25th, noon-6pm, Setup 10 am-noon, Breakdown 6-7 pm
WHAT
Our
village could potentially be many things -- think chickens, compost,
seed balls, permaculture, 2 block, plant/seed swap, bees, solar panels,
displays, demos/mini workshops, films (?), hospitality area (ala our
folk fest booth), homemade buttons, visioning posters, pictures, lit,
books, reps from neighbourhood villages, working groups, NOW BC, kids
stuff, etc. - a positive vision of what could be. Our village could
encompass an area of up to 4-5 tents, plus untented space.
We are looking for folks who can be present on the day to lead workshops, answer questions,
mingle and if folks can't make it to the event, we're in need of
materials (arts & crafts, felt pens, paint, solar cooker, etc etc)
