Hey! I know I stepped up to attempt to put something together awhile ago, but health issues, school and work are just in the way at the moment and I can't put any time in figuring this out. Apologies. Will try to attend anything organized by other folks.

Cheers,

Megan

Hello,

Do we have a venue for a potluck? January is quickly going to become February... How would Saturday afternoon into evening be for people?

Our house is better for warmer weather partly outdoor gatherings...any hosts available?

I am also very interested in being there, as I haven't been able to make it out so far!

January potluck sounds great...I will be there.

I'm in too (even though I'm 'techinally' Grandview Woodland). After dark would be better for me - which shouldn't be tooo hard since its dark most of the time now. Also, I suggest to anyone who doesn't see enough 'action' in their own VV neighborhood, to join your neighboring neighborhoods! I belong to 3!

Hey folks from Hastings Sunrise - you're welcome to come to our holiday party this Saturday night. We'll be cooking on our rocket stoves so you can see them working. We'll have two of them running. If you are connected by facebook, take a look at the invite: http://www.facebook.com/#!/events/126138800829287/

Feel free to bring drinks and food. We're mostly a vegitarian/vegan house. B.

That is a great idea. I have been talking to people and it seems like a January Potluck would be perfect for us all to meet and get to know each other. Count me in. Sunday afternoon is good, as long as it isn't the second Sunday as we have a regular Permaculture meeting out at Terra Nova from 2-4. Everyone is welcome there by the way and feel free to contact me for a ride. I have 3 seats extra and we generally go straight there and back from east van. Also I heard the benches are ready for the Pender and Penticton Mini Park. There is still room there for 2 more beds, but in this case it is build your own try to make it similar to the ones already there... There is some soil on the parking lot. If anyone gets a bed built, I would be happy to help preparing the soil.

We have attempted a couple of meet-ups of this group last spring and winter, but weren't met with very good results. A few people came out each time, but there was a general reticence by people to take on organizing this group into something face to face. (This is not a complaint, but people feel strapped for time was the impression I've gotten the few times we attempted to organize meet-ups - and I don't have the time or energy to do much beyond organizing the occasional meet-up).

Since that time a number of new people have joined this group and a few people recently have suggested meeting up - so perhaps it's time to try again? I would suggest that we attempt something in the new year, a Sunday afternoon potluck? We could book Kiawassa Neighbourhood House which is a good venue with a kitchen. If there is positive feedback here for that, I can explore dates and see about booking something.

Hi everyone!
Hope we can all get together soon, maybe a potluck?
My husband and I are new to the neighbourhood and would love to host something but we're just living in a small garden suite. Perhaps when the weather warms up we can make use of the backyard!

I've also got a fairly large raised garden box looking for some veggie love, if anyone is interested in helping me get it started in the spring? :) I know its a ways off but I'm pretty excited about it!

Happy holidays!

Hey There Hastings Sunrise!

Our group is growing...and looking good...let's meet regularly...anyone up for bingo, potlucks, or farming? We can do natural building in the summer, but what shall we do in the winter? Let's get the kids to meet too...any ideas?
