Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
The Community Arts Council of Vancouver is currently booking a special Eco Art Salon for the end of April 2012 to coincide with BC Arts & Culture week. This evening presentation will feature a panel of emerging eco-artists who will present their work to the public. Here is your chance to showcase your artwork with opportunities for feedback, networking and community participation.
The objective of our monthly Eco Art Salons is to create a space for stimulating dialogue around questions such as “What does it mean to be an environmental artist?” and “What is the potential for community engaged environmental art in Vancouver?” This event will be held on April 25th, 2012 from 7-9 pm.
If your art practice engages with ideas of community-building and centers on the environment, we’d like to see your work at our Salon. We will be selecting 5 artists or collaborative groups to feature in this special event. Artists will receive a $100 honorarium for their presentation.
