Volunteers needed to help the Westside Mobile Food Market Grow!

Hi all! We are looking for help getting the word out that we are looking for volunteers for the Westside Mobile Food Market Project! The main goal of the project is to provide fresh, local, affordable food in communities where there are no grocery stores, or the food stores are priced higher than most people can afford. Our markets are open to everyone and we hope to serve low-income individuals such as seniors, persons with disabilities, single-parent families, students, and more to make it easy for them to afford healthy food.

I've attached volunteer role descriptions, but the roles are not set in stone. What a volunteer decides to take on is determined by their main interests, what they hope to learn from the project, and the time they are able to put into the project. We want this to be seen as more of a mentoring and learning experience than a standard volunteer job. If you know anyone interested, please forward this on to them and/or your social networks & email lists. Anyone interested can contact me at [email protected] with questions or to sign-up to volunteer.

Thanks for your help and support!
