Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
I am moving to Vancouver this summer with my 3 kids and 2 dogs for a complete career and lifestyle change. I have been a 15 year entrepreneur in Calgary and now moving back to my native BC and I cannot wait!
I am hoping to find a rental property with 1-3 acres where I can have my raised garden beds, and 3-4 chickens, a few rabbits (as pets and mini composters!) and lots of green spaces and trees!
I am hoping to rent to begin with in order to find my feet in a new city and learn the ins and outs of the different neighborhoods, then looking to buy my own little piece of the planet..
What areas should I be looking at if I still need to be close to transit for teens, no more than 10 minute ambulance response time for child with serious medical condition, and 15-20 minute drive to a hospital? But still feel like I am away from the city?
I LOVE the Dunbar/Southlands area but doubt many rentals come up in that vicinity, but if anybody hears of anything, please let me know!
Many thanks!
1-3 acres in Vancouver is a pretty tall order!
Maybe Richmond or the Valley?
Sunshine coast?
I am still learning the names of the neighborhoods! Yes an acreage IN Vancouver appears to be a bit much!
I would love an acre in Dunbar/Southlands area but that is proving difficult as well! Looking at Delta, Aldergorve but that is getting a bit too far away.....
Still looking though!
Thx for posting!
Any luck, Leah?
