Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Hi there!
My name’s Sam and I am building a tiny house in Vancouver. I’m on the search for an open-minded homeowner in the Lower Mainland with an interest in community & sustainable living, and a backyard where I can park my home for 6-18 months.
ABOUT ME:
-I recently completed my Master's degree at UBC in agricultural policy and food sovereignty (just a few weeks ago!) and am currently finishing the term as a research and teaching assistant in the faculty of Land and Food Systems.
-I'm passionate about sustainable agriculture, animal welfare, social justice and holistic education and will be pursuing a career that involves a range of tasks/roles related to these topics.
-I’m looking for somewhere to park semi-permanently (minimum 6 months) and am more than willing to give back through property tax payments, gardening services, labour, etc.
-My ideal neighbour would be cat-friendly and keen to share an occasional meal or glass of wine :)
ABOUT MY HOUSE:
-22’ x 10’ house on flatbed trailer
-I would need access to basic electrical and water hookups --my heat/hot water/stove would be fueled by propane and I will have a very small wood burning stove. Compost toilet, no sewage necessary.
-This house is being professionally built to code in North Vancouver.
-The frame is currently being built; I will be building the interior myself and the house will be ready to move around mid-late April 2016!
Please visit my blog at www.smallspacemoreplace.wordpress.com, and email me at [email protected] if you are interested (or know of anyone who's interested/able) in having a tiny house and passionate, open-minded and conscientious tiny home-owner in your life.
All my best,
Sam
