Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

Art + Community + Environment = Awesome

Hi, I work for the Community Arts Council of Vancouver. One of our top 3 priorities is community environmental arts.

This coming Wednesday, May 25, at the Roundhouse Community Centre, Room "B", Ella Cooper will present our Eco-Art Salon about her art garden at 8th & Trimble as part of the City's Green Streets program.

I've just taken over the circle garden at 6th and Trafalgar and have been conspiring with Chloe Bennett (no relation) about her Bees Please habitat at 6th & Yew.  Two friends in my housing co-op and I just got a Neighbourhood Small Grant of $400 to create a bee habitat at 6th & Trafalgar, including $200 for a celebration - which we're hoping might be a parade from her garden to ours.

If any of these sounds interesting/intriguing, I hope you'll show up this Wednesday (or any 4th Wednesday) and talk more about Art + Community + Environment = Awesome.

Consider joining the CACV "online community" at communityarts.ning.com to view all of our events (and other community arts events). You can view almost everything without joining, but if you join you can add your voice.

Hope to see you there or online!
