LocoMotoArt kicks off a series of workshops “Youth, Technology & Nature”, as part of their community arts education programming associated with the evening exhibition, LocoMotoArt at Queen Elizabeth Park from 9-11PM on July 28. The workshops and the event are FREE. Please register at www.eventbrite.ca, as space may be limited. Put 'LocoMotoArt' in Search Box to see all 7 FREE workshops offered with times, dates and locations.
Workshops offered include: 'Sustainable Systems: An Introduction to Independent Power Systems', 'Sustainable Arts Practice Methods - Digital eco-art' and 'New Approaches: Getting out in Nature by GeoPainting the Landscape'.
These workshops are open to persons of all ages and skills. These hands-on workshops are part of LocoMotoArt Collective’s community engaged art theme, Youth, Technology & Nature in partnership with the Vancouver Park Board – Arts, Culture and Environmental Department funded by the Community Neighbourhood Arts Development grant, issued by City of Vancouver Cultural Affairs Department and BC Hydro, Alliance for the Arts, Cedar Cottage and Kitsilano Neighbourhood Houses, Village Vancouver and VIVO Media Arts Centre.
