The end of the garden season provides a bounty for the compost, but what if some of that material could be made into something instead of going straight to the bin?
Sharon Kallis leads workshop participants though learning how to identify what plants have possible creative use as the group helps bed down the Means of Production top garden area for the winter. Morning glory vines, daylily and iris leaves and even running buttercup roots can be used for creative experimentation and Sharon will teach simple techniques such as rope making and coiled basketery with the plants that are harvested. Leave with your samples that were made on site, and the know-how to begin weaving from your own green waste pile.
Rain or shine outdoors with some shelter- dress weather appropriate.
Free, limited participation (max 12). Please Pre-register here or at [email protected]. Update: This workshop is now full.
