This course will cover the various pests and diseases that plague fruit trees in the Vancouver area, how to identify them, and organic methods of control. By implementing proper cultural practices, at the right time of year, many problems facing apples, pears, plums, cherries, peaches, apricots and figs can be greatly reduced or prevented. The course will also discuss types of tree fruits that rarely have problems and disease-resistant varieties.
