In this workshop you will learn about the pests and diseases that plague fruit trees in the Vancouver area, how to identify each and organic methods you can use to control them. Other topics that will be included are disease resistant varieties, types of tree fruits that rarely have any problems and cultural practices that reduce or prevent infestations. Pests and diseases of apples, pears, plums, cherries, peaches, apricots and figs will be addressed. The best pest and disease reference books and online sources will be discussed.
