A free, non-monetary community swap meet and place for neighbours to meet, connect, dream, imagine, share, collaborate and create.
Bring clothes, shoes, household items, camping gear, books, music, tools, skills, knowledge, talents, etc. to swap or give away! Please contact if you'd like table space. Tables are free and will be provided, but space is limited, so we suggest reserving one ASAP.
Artists and displays from LocoMotoArts, Create Space hands-on community and personal sculpture Workshop using repurposed materials by Kits Space project, Kits House artists materials exchange and Neighbourhood Small Grants table, lots of Village Vancouver stuff, short info sessions from folks and groups involved in the sharing economy, free snacks, and more.
Kits Village Vancouver will be on hand with a Seed Library to swap and give away seeds and accept donations of seeds, and the KV Recycling Depot (click here for info on what you can bring to recycle), and to share information about our sharing activities, including: shared meals (community potlucks, dinner groups, drop-in spaghetti nights), collaborative gardening projects, permaculture work parties, 100 in 1 Day activities, and other neighbourhood sharing projects.

I'll be there about 3pm and stay till 4. If anyone wants to go to Kits House or a coffee shop after to look at online sharing sites like neighborgoods.net and streetbank.com, I'm available till 5pm at some place with wifi! Confirm with me in advance.
Looks like it'll be good weather.
Dear Jane;
We encourage people to directly exchange their item with another desired item of similar value, if they wish. A direct swap if you will, or bartering.
We're planning to make the event a cash-free event and a space for direct exchange of goods, services and even talents. This will also evoke nice conversations and getting to know one another...
We hope to see you there and look forward to your ideas and suggestions.
Vida
You say "swap meet" but can people put nominal prices (garage sale prices) on things if they don't need "swaps?"... THX
