Event Description
Village Surrey invites you to attend a Community Poetry Party celebrating National Poetry Writing Month. Enjoy live, local poetry performances! Bring your poems to share or just come to listen. $20.00 gift certificate prizes will be awarded randomly in the following categories: Under 10 years old, 10-20 years old, Memorized poem by adult, Read poem by adult, and Multicultural Poem. While you’re there, pick up a free hand-made “seedbomb” card and write your wish for our community. Plant the “seedbomb” in your yard and watch the flowers bloom and your wish come true! This event will take place 6:30-8:30pm at the Newton Community Hall, 13730 – 72nd Avenue. Light refreshments available.
