Neighborhood Small Grants allow groups of two or more neighbours to work together on small projects to make their neighbourhood a better place. They're easy to write -- many people write them in an hour, and they're great for getting a few hundred dollars for that community project you always wanted to do but maybe never had the extra money to pursue.
Examples of projects include community kitchens, block parties, gardens, recycling depots, art workshops, physical activity groups, language classes, corner libraries, permaculture blitzes, building mason bee houses or planter benchlets, drop-in spaghetti nights, cultural celebrations, and much more! For more information about the work and goals of the program or what kinds of projects get funded, please visit the Vancouver Foundation website.
Apply online at www.neighbourhoodsmallgrants.ca. The deadline for applications is Tuesday April 4th.
Hi Katherine,
Just a quick reply, as I'm at an all day workshop today and will be off email for several hours...it sounds like you're doing great stuff! You can apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant on the Vancouver Foundation website. You need a second person within the neighbourhood catchment area to apply with you.
I'm happy to chat with you about your ideas, but unfortunately, wouldn't be able to do so today.
Good luck!
Dear Ross,
I raised my Aries Son - as a Supernatural and single Mom.
100% organic, raw, vegan Superfoods for over half of his now 21 years - as of his today's 21st birthday!
I have never received any funding or support.
Now, is the time.
For i have many more .. mind-expansive ideas and know i must work together with a team.. to build our mutually inclusive success.'
Right now, i am in the beginning stages of starting my own home-garden.
First time .. ever.
A whole mini backyard and side -house area to work with.
And, more..
So, i need help!
Contact me, please.
I will bike over to your space, this afternoon, after i see my son, if i may, please?
Looking forward,
Katherine
p.s.
