Understanding botanical names can tell you a lot about a plant – its native origin, ecology, history, physical appearance, cultural uses, and more! This class takes a lively and interactive approach to explaining the binomial naming system introduced by Carl Linnaeus, how to decipher the Latin, and how to pronounce names like Metasequoia glyptostroboides.
Instructor: Estelle Bogoch
