What on earth is a transition flag? That's what we'd like to know too! Come out to the next Arts & Celebration Network gathering to help us figure it all out.
This meetup will be part creative jam session and part planning meeting. At the last A&C Network gathering the idea of "transition flags" arose. The flags would give people a creative and visual way to record and express things that are important to Village Vancouver participants (what village you're from, key goals from a neighbourhood visioning session, or a group doodle from a really fun village potluck, for example). The idea and form of the flags are still in their infancy so we'd love to get your input. We'll have material and other craft supplies available for a hands-on working session, and please feel free to bring your own goodies to work with too.
We'll also be discussing opportunities for celebration during Langara's Summer School on Building Community coming up in June.
This will be a potluck event, so please bring some food to share and enjoy with others.
Detailed directions to the common meeting room:
Enter through the front gates which face East onto the the park at Adanac and Salsbury Drive. Once you are through the front gate, go straight until you descend one set of steps and then hook 180 degrees right, go down the stairs, through the door and follow your nose until you reach the common room where you'll find us.
