Welcome into the Village, Vanessa.
Your next stop is to join the Main Street Neighbourhood on this site (click here), the smaller and more walkable village within Village Vancouver and that is really where everything important happens. It is MAIN Street, after all. There is no other.
Next Tuesday, the 5th, we are holding our monthly potluck at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House (Main at 24th Avenue, and in the same building as the Library), with a ton of seedlings to give away for free, including tomatoes, peppers, herbs, squash, etc. We'll also have our now a bit depleted Seed Library there for free withdrawals. Finally, we'll be showing people how to build a cold frame (simple greenhouse), which this summer may be the only way to grow anything! About 15-20 people show up, and it's mostly a great place to chat and network.
BTW, we met through Teresa while trying to save the trees of QE Park three years ago. Shiatsu massage, right?
