Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Hi all,
With the recent demise of Jean's feed and straw co-op, we are going to try something new. We're still working out the details, but it looks like the first delivery will be October 21-22. (Straw only; organic feed is available from Mark's Pet Stop on 3rd & Commercial.)
I will post more as I know, Ross please cross-post to Hasting-Sunrise and Grandview-Woodland if possible.
Note: I will be collating the straw orders and arranging the bulk order, so contact me directly if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Alyssa

Hi Alyssa - any updates on the order? Last email I think you had noted that this was the preferred weekend. Keep us posted!
We are still in for 3.
Thanks! Tamara (Cedar Cottage neighbourhood)
Hi Tamara,
Straw finally showed up last night. I'll be home ~6PM tonight and most of the day tomorrow and Saturday. Also note it's at MY PLACE, 4th & Woodland, not at 23rd & Main like we originally thought.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Alyssa
that's great! would it work to come by about 1pm today? i'll call before heading out as well. $10 ea for 3, we'll bring cash. thanks again for organizing this one and i look forward to meeting too!

Hi Tamara, It's 1:15 and I'm taking off shortly but I'll be home in about an hour. I'm leaving a plastic tub with an envelope in it by the back door. If you want to wait until 3ish, you can meet the girls!
Oh, and the wood both in the parking lot and inside the gate is REALLY SLIPPERY, so be careful if you come in!
OK everyone, update on the delivery. It WILL happen! But it will be Monday night or maybe Tuesday morning (Nov. 8) because its totally out of their normal delivery range.
Price will be $10/bale, payable by check, cash (if I am home when you pick up), or deposit/transfer to my Vancity account.
It will be delivered to my house near 4th & Woodland (Commerical/Broadway). I know that is a slight change and hopefully it is better for most people. Because of the change in delivery date, I will hold your bales through Saturday November 11. Starting Sunday they will be sold to the highest bidder!
Also, Mark's Pet Stop on Commercial drive is literally right around the corner so if you need feed you can pick up there at the same time. I suggest you call him to make sure he has some in stock (and check his hours): 604-255-4844
I have a few extra bales ordered, first come first served.
Jill W (2), Tamara S (3), Ander G (3), and Shelley (2); I already have your orders via Village Vancouver, as well as the others who have emailed me outside of VV.
Cheers,
Alyssa
