Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

10 days later and the South Fraser Protection Camp is going strong! On Earth Day, 200 citizens marched down River Road and on to the construction path of the South Fraser Perimeter highway. Trees were planted, tents were set up and the kitchen established. 25 people camped there that night and there continue to be people there 24 hours per day protecting the shores of the Fraser River. The construction has ground to a halt and the salmon streams and ravines that flow into the Fraser have been protected.
The solar powered information centre should be finished tomorrow. This centre will allow us to communicate right from the camp.
