- My interests are urban agriculture, community sustainability, environment, recycling.
- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
- I have a broad background in youth outreach and engagement through the arts and work in theatre and film. I want to contribute some of my experience to local organizations but mostly I want to be in the loop as to what is developing and growing the community I live in. I have managed festivals, developed youth councils and events and work administration for the Vancouver Fringe since I moved to Vancouver 7 years ago. That festival that adds such a rich thread to Vancouvers Arts and Culture community.
- What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
- In my current world I think more people should grow a little tiny bit of their own food if they have any kind of space. I think more info needs to be available for gardening basics that is accessible that will empower people to try. If more could grow their own food it stimulates learning.That would promote better cooking, which improves health, encourages people to Eat Together and communicate face to face and build better relationships.
