Dear friend of pollinators!

UNIBUG is expanding its’ website! We are inviting all organizations in Metro Vancouver with ties to pollinator protection and education to connect on our website as “Pollinator Allies”. Our updated site will launch this fall, but feel free to get a sneak peak at UNIBUG.ca

UNIBUG (User Network for Insect Biology in Urban Gardens) is an affiliate of the Institute of Urban Ecology (IUE) at Douglas College; located in New Westminster and Coquitlam B.C.. Our mandate is community engagement and education with notable emphasis on beneficial insects in urban green spaces. Our recent projects have investigated attracting predatory and parasitic insects into urban gardens; as well as studying native pollinator populations and their habitats.

As part of UNIBUG’s focus on education - we are inviting organizations in the Metro Vancouver area to promote their interests in pollinators on our website. Our objective is to create a comprehensive community resource page on all things pollinator; a ‘hive mind’ resource which will be regularly updated for the benefit of the community and your organization. Workshops, retailers, municipal initiatives and research will be promoted. We will also give opportunity for local experts, community groups and associations to endorse their events and expertise.

Website updates can be tedious. So please let us help you - as we work together to protect the pollinators in the Greater Vancouver Area.

Yours Sincerely,

The UNIBUG Team
