- ...learning more about urban agriculture and how it can influence issues of social justice, particularly with regards to poverty, addiction and mental health. i also have a natural interest in just learning how to be a better gardener.
- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
- i am a newcomer to Vancouver and still familiarising myself with the organisations and programs that are active here. i have volunteered recently for EYA and have been in contact with SOLEfood that operates out of the DTES. i am currently seeking other quality opportunities to get hands on experience and learn as much as i can.
