- Areas of interest include: the arts, placemaking, potlucks, organizing events, community building and tackling social isolation especially for newcomers and immigrants.
- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
- I'm not informed about the groups and networks to know which ones I would like to get involved with.
I'm a qualified arts manager and project manager with experience in community and health projects, I have excellent event management and organisational skills. My strengths lie in developing partnerships and collaborative projects.

- I would like to see more opportunities for neighbours to connect and communicate with each other.

Welcome, Nicola!
I unleashed a monster with this site, so I don't expect you to figure out quickly what all is happening here: 400 events per year, 2700 members, 14 villages, 35 projects, and several new Society spinoffs. Just find something to attend that looks interesting and try to connect with its organizer ahead of time to get the real skinny on it. (There's lots of good and a little bit of oddness here; it's best to know in advance.)
