- In which Vancouver neighbourhood or other community do you live?
- Mount Pleasant
- Please tell us which areas of Transition interest you. For example: growing more food/urban agriculture, relocalizing our economy/local currency, Permaculture, transit, energy efficient buildings, the arts, urban homesteading, preserving seed diversity, placemaking, potlucks, outreach, organizing events, community-building, having fun while saving the world, or...
- I have a wide array of interests. These being urban agriculture, relocalizing our economy, Permaculture (which kind of encapsulates some of the other areas mentioned), urban homesteading and seed saving!
- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
- As I live in mount pleasant I would be very interested to get involved in any transition village near by. As I am somewhat new to this whole thing I'm not sure what there is exactly to get involved in but I am very interested in getting involved. I have my Permaculture design certification and have been a gardener for a number of years. Also I will be attending school for environmental remediation. Other than that mostly just the fact that more than anything I really want to see change in how we relate to our environment, socio-economic structure and community.
- What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
- I haven't been living in vancouver for very long so I haven't quite explored what's happening here already or had a chance to percolate into my community yet. I suppose I think we need to really start empowering people to realize that they CAN be a part of the change and that there is a community to be a part of. So perhaps more media. More awareness really and creating a community that people are invested in and want to be a part of.

- I just see that we are at a critical point in time in which change is no longer auxiliary but an absolute necessity. I can't help thinking about how the Celts were conquered by the Romans because they couldn't unite amongst themselves. When I look around, physically we are not separated as we are all living in close proximity but mentally and spiritually we are completely disunited. There is the loss of "community" feel in such a big city and I feel like Transition Towns have what is needed to give people direction and hope that change is possible.
