Join Village Vancouver
There is a big hole in the Transition movement between Ontario and BC, so get on it. Winnipeg is a great city with some close neighbourhoods (compared to the rest of Canada), so in some ways you are ahead of the rest of us. So, learn from Peterborough and us--if we actually have anything to teach beyond what we know from Rob Hopkins--and lets move Canada forward.
Maybe someday I can once again take a train across this country, for a reasonable cost and on an electrified line. I'd stop in Winnipeg, even in winter!
