- Urban agriculture, the arts, potlucks, organizing events, community-building, making new connections… and, most importantly, having fun :)!
- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
- Lately I've been dedicating a lot of my time to organizing and attending different meetup groups. Or just organizing community events where all are welcome. Craft nights, music jam nights, 'pop-up' events, Buddy Club... It's so wonderful to meet new people and find the common link that you share. So I have a wide scope of things I'm interested in joining!
I love nature, food, gardening, art, dance, community-building, meeting new people. These are the things I would love to share!
- What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
- More gardens, more benches, more face-to-face human interactions. More music, more potlucks, more joy! Right now I'm really enjoying browsing and dabbling in various meetup groups. A fantastic resource. I think any initiative starts first with a group coming together and sharing a passion :).
