Please tell us which areas of Transition interest you. For example: growing more food/urban agriculture, relocalizing our economy/local currency, Permaculture, transit, energy efficient buildings, the arts, urban homesteading, preserving seed diversity, placemaking, potlucks, outreach, organizing events, community-building, having fun while saving the world, or...

There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)

Dear Herb,
I recently watched Gardens of Destiny, and really enjoyed it. Thanks for your contribution to it. I also appreciated the concern you had for nanotechnology, which I had not heard of. That lead me to educate myself a little about it and start discussions with some friends about it.

Hello Herb,

Long time no see.

We last met in Van 2001(?), to discuss my 'biorope micro garden' techniques and strategies. Although appropriate for the time, it seemed premature for attracting the Vancouver mindset. So much has changed in Urban Ag since then, leaving me wondering where this issue going for Vancouver.

I have been very busy in the developmental area of urban Ag, local and overseas.

If time permits, perhaps we can meet while I'm in Van, in part to relay some innovative works beyond the biorope vertical designs and to demonstrate a frameworks in architectural greenspace for crop production, urban poultry, aquaponic strategies and more....

I will be in Vancouver April 27-30, May 4-7.

I can be reached at livingloal@hotmail.com

A demo site is in the process of going into Van (Mt Pleasant), maybe we can meet there.

Regards,

Michael Corbin
